Assistant professor Takaki Akiba receive the Exploratory Research Award at JHPCN Symposium 2025

Assistant professor Takaki Akiba receive the Exploratory Research Award at JHPCN Symposium 2025 on July 11th, 2025. The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding projects from among the nascent collaborative research projects presented at the JHPCN Symposium, which brings together research projects utilizing large-scale computers, and to encourage them to advance to future publicly solicited collaborative research projects. This year, one project was recognized with the award.

Research title: Quantum-HPC hybrid architecture for reacting flow analysis

The method was presented for describing nonlinear problems including reaction flow problems as linear problems which can be handled on quantum computers in an attempt to create simulation methods for reacting flow using quantum computers.
