Mr. Rui Wang (D3, Supervisor: Prof. Yuji Suzuki) received the 2024 IEEE DEIS Graduate Student Fellowship on January 17th, 2025. The fellowship is a prestigious grant awarded by IEEE DEIS that selects up to five PhD students from the applicants with a research topic in electrical insulation and dielectric phenomena. The recipients will be awarded with 5,000 USD.

Research title: Development of stretchable electret material and its application to energy harvester for skin electronics

This research project aims to explore the intrinsically stretchable electret material with high charging performance by optimizing the cross-linking agents in the perfluoroelastomer, as well as develop stretchable energy harvesters for realizing the self-powered electronic skins.
