EACH SOCIAL COOPERATION COURSE

Since its founding in 1884, Furukawa Electric has developed a wide range of products in the fields of telecommunications and energy infrastructure, automotive components, and electronics, with "transmitting," "connecting," and "storing" energy, information, and heat as the pillars of its business. In February 2018, we established the Social Cooperation Course, aiming to create new value by combining the materials, core technologies (metals, polymers, photonics, and high frequency), and manufacturing capabilities we have cultivated over the past century with the advanced technologies and broad insight possessed by the University of Tokyo. The theme of this course is innovation in "manufacturing" through the application of IoT/AI-related technologies and innovation in the development of advanced materials.
